Architect resilient backend platforms, distributed event loops, and high-concurrency transactional pipelines.
DETAILED SPECIFICATION
We are seeking a principal-level distributed systems engineer to lead architectural audits, design zero-downtime event streaming engines, and mentor enterprise engineering teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement fault-tolerant, high-throughput backend services using Go, Rust, or modern TypeScript.
- Conduct architectural diligence and system topology reviews for high-growth enterprise clients.
- Author precise RFCs, boundary contracts, and cryptographic access boundaries.
- Collaborate directly with client engineering leadership to modernize legacy monolithic backends.
QUALIFICATIONS & CAPABILITIES
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in distributed systems.
- Deep operational familiarity with Kafka, Raft/Paxos consensus, and distributed cache topologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in zero-downtime migrations, schema evolution, and partitioned databases.
- Commitment to code clarity, minimal dependencies, and rigorous test automation.
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES
- Prior consulting experience or technical leadership at top-tier engineering organizations.
- Familiarity with high-frequency financial platforms or regulated data boundaries.
